Here is a video of our time at Abbey Road. As you can probably see, it was quite emotional for me. I cried for about 10 minutes out of disbelief that I was actually at Abbey Road. It was a life-changing experience for me and will most likely be one of my fondest memories from London.

Day 25: British Museum and Ku Bar (LATE POST!!)
For our second day of Creative Writing, our teacher took us to the British Museum to give us some plot inspiration. We were asked to pick a single picture from the photo gallery and write a story about it. I chose to write about Keith III by Chuck Close. I think I will spend the rest of my class revising the piece and then use it for my final submission at the end of class.
After class, I chose to tour the rest of the museum by myself. I spent another hour and a half roaming around looking for mummies, the Rosetta Stone and the Lindow Man. To my dismay (extreme dismay!), I could not find the Lindow Man. And to make the day worse, the Pompeii exhibit did not have another opening until three hours later. Still, I got to see some fabulous pieces.

After walking two miles to the next tube station with an attendant to pay for a ticket home (seriously), I rested before heading out with my friends. We went to ladies night at Ku Bar, a local gay bar. I had one of the best nights since I have been here. The music was on point ranging from 1990/2000's R&B to boy bands. We had a blast dancing and spending time in a new place. The highlight of my night, however, was meeting a deaf woman at Ku Bar. During the song "Call Me Maybe," I used American Sign Language to dance to the song. The woman noticed me signing and came over to ask if I knew how to sign. Unfortunately, she was using British Sign Language and we found it very difficult to communicate. Still, I was thrilled to have met a deaf person that found my signing clear enough to know that it was sign language.

Day 24 Summary: The Lost Day
Second term classes commenced today. I was informed during class that my Creative Writing class is centered around works of fiction, which is fabulous because I hate both reading and writing fiction. It will be a challenge.
After class, for the first time we did nothing. We sat in the common room watching TV and talking for hours. It was one of the first times I felt as though I truly live here. It doesn't feel like a vacation once you can't bring yourself to site-see anymore. It was quite relaxing.

Day 23 Summary
After sleeping over at Milla's, I got breakfast at a place in Hoxton called The Diner. FRENCH TOAST. After, we all went to the London Eye to meet the other students from the university. Our social programme organized a group event at the Eye and we finally got to ride it. Here are some pictures:
UPDATE: just kidding I'm pretty sure this is what food poisoning feels like and this is what I need.
We ended the day at a pub with the university students and ate dinner at a decent Japanese restaurant in Lambeth. Good day? Good day.

Day 22 Summary
Today was the first sweltering day of summer that we've seen in London. It was 80 degrees all day.
We spent the whole day in the sun. Alyssa, Milla, and I walked around by Milla's dorm to try and find some new shopping areas. Unfortunately, the place we walked around was a bust so we roamed the South Bank for the millionth time. I love it though and I could go a million more times. On nice days, it seems like everyone in London is in South Bank. People are relaxing in the grass underneath the London Eye. People are crowded around street performers. Kids are eating ice cream. Skate boarders are skating. It is wonderful.
After talking on a bench for about an hour, we went to the Real Food Market. We go to this market most weekends (mentioned in my second post from London). The food is delicious. I had a potato crepe made out of lentils and a Malaysian pancake. Woah. So good.
At the end of the night, Milla and I went to Electricity and then Hoxton Bar and Kitchen (our regular spots). It was a good time. We talked to a group of guys made up of an Australian, an Irishman, and two Londoners. I couldn't tell any of their accents apart which was super embarrassing and very american of me. I need to pay more attention.

Harold the Wise
(Read while listening to "The Harold Song" by Ke$ha)
While trying to take a photo of just how foggy it is in Brighton, we came across a new friend named Harold. Seriously though, look at that fog.
Harold is a special bird because he let us come dangerously close to him and then took us in as his new best friends. We graciously accepted.
He was wise. He talked about when times were tough.
He taught us about being adaptive and flexible.
He forced us to look into our souls and find inner peace.
I will never forget the love we shared.
TO HAROLD!
